Hanno suscitato polemiche due nostri recenti post: nel primo si metteva in luce, dati alla mano, che dietro i coloni sionisti e nel funzionamento del porto di Haifa, essenziale per il genocidio, c’è anche la Cina.

Nel secondo si metteva in luce, dati alla mano, che i paesi Brics+ hanno un ruolo fondamentale nel sostegno al funzionamento dell’economia israeliana. Un sostegno che è vitale perché la guerra di sterminio non si fa solo con le armi, che ad Israele arrivano da Stati Uniti, Germania e Italia; si può portare avanti a condizione che l’intera economia continui a girare alimentando la mostruosa macchina bellica dello stato sionista, e che la vita sociale quotidiana continui ad avere una qualche “normalità”.

Ed a tal fine sono fondamentali le esportazioni di fonti di energia (petrolio e derivati del petrolio, carbone), i metalli (ferro, rame, alluminio, metalli rari), il cemento (essenziale per i nuovi insediamenti), le macchine per la produzione industriale, i circuiti integrati ed ogni altro tipo di prodotti elettronici (per es. i pezzi di ricambio della miriade di strumenti di controllo dei palestinesi), ma anche le forniture di cibo, prodotti chimici, tessili, medicinali, auto, etc. E nell’interscambio sono evidentemente assai più importanti per Israele le importazioni di merci che le esportazioni – non a caso le prime eccedono le seconde di molto, anche per colmare i buchi produttivi creati dal richiamo alle armi di una quantità di riservisti occupati abitualmente nell’industria.

Ebbene, i dati analitici forniti da al-Jazeera confermano in pieno quanto già abbiamo documentato. La Cina è di gran lunga il primo fornitore di merci di Israele, per un valore più che doppio rispetto al secondo, gli Stati Uniti. Immediatamente sotto troviamo Germania e Italia. Per questi ultimi tre stati protettori storici di Israele il contenuto dell’export è in larga quota fatto di forniture di armi, ma le forniture di merci d’ogni tipo da parte cinese, che in valore superano il totale di Stati Uniti/Germania/Italia messi insieme, non sono meno rilevanti sul piano economico, sociale e politico. Quanto alla Russia, Mosca ha assicurato ad Israele una fornitura altrettanto vitale: 1,5 milioni di individui con una medio-alta qualifica professionale, molti dei quali fanatici sionisti.

Così stanno le cose, piaccia o non piaccia: tutti i più potenti stati capitalistici del mondo, sia del blocco occidentale, sia dell’altro kampo (Cina – Russia), sia quelli con una zampa di là e l’altra di qua, stanno aiutando lo stato sionista a portare avanti la distruzione di Gaza e lo sterminio e l’affamamento delle sue genti.

A operazione sionista avanzata, la Spagna di Sanchez annuncia di voler interrompere i rapporti economici con Israele – ma se andate a guardare i fatti compiuti, ci troverete solo l’annullamento di una fornitura di proiettili da Israele del valore di 6 milioni di euro – bazzecole. E quanto all’UE non si capisce neppure esattamente di cosa si stia discutendo al vertice. Questi assassini hanno le mani lorde del sangue palestinese, e ogni giorno che passa hanno maggior timore che essere accomunati, come è giusto, ai nazisionisti democratici al potere a Tel Aviv. Un timore che li spinge a messe in scena mediatiche di “prese di distanza” dagli “eccessi” di Netanyahu e Smotrich, mentre la loro complicità nel genocidio rimane intatta : intatta come le loro forniture di armi e di merci.

On Tuesday, the United Kingdom government suspended free trade negotiations with Israel in response to its military conduct in the war on Gaza and the expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Addressing the parliament, Foreign Secretary David Lammy said the UK government couldn’t continue talks on upgrading its existing trade agreement with an Israeli government pursuing what he called “egregious policies” in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

This came a day after the UK, France and Canada threatened to take “concrete actions” against Israel if it does not stop its renewed offensive and lift aid restrictions in Gaza.

Meanwhile, the European Union has also taken a step towards reassessing its relationship with Israel with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas confirming on Tuesday that the bloc had voted to review its trade cooperation agreement.

How much is Israel-UK trade worth?

The United Kingdom and Israel embarked on negotiations for a modernised Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in July 2022, aiming to enhance their economic partnership by addressing areas not covered in their existing trade agreement, particularly services and digital trade.

According to United Nations Comtrade, a global database of official international trade statistics, in 2024, the UK ranked as Israel’s 11th largest import partner, with imports totalling some $1.96bn. The main products imported from the UK included machinery such as jet engines, electrical equipment, pharmaceuticals and vehicles.

Conversely, the UK was Israel’s eighth largest export destination, receiving Israeli exports valued at about $1.57bn, primarily of diamonds, chemical products, machinery and electronics.

Israel is a major exporter of pharmaceuticals, driven by companies such as Teva Pharmaceuticals, one of the world’s largest generic drug manufacturers.

Israel is also a global leader in the diamond trade, importing billions of dollars worth of rough diamonds which are then cut, polished and processed domestically before being exported.

Israel sold $61.7bn worth of goods in 2024. The biggest importers of Israeli products were the United States with $17.3bn, Ireland with $3.2bn and China with $2.8bn. Hong Kong, a semiautonomous region of China that trade databases treat as a separate entity, imported an additional $2bn in products from Israel. Add that to China’s tally, and the country becomes the second-largest importer of Israeli products.

• The United States primarily imported diamonds, high-tech electronics, including integrated circuits and telecommunications equipment, as well as chemical products.
• Ireland was the largest buyer of Israeli integrated circuits in 2024, importing some $3bn billion worth of electronic integrated circuits and microassemblies. These components are widely used in Ireland’s pharmaceutical, medical device and tech manufacturing sectors.
• China imported a range of Israeli products including optical equipment, electronic components and chemical products.
